My Normal

Usually, when people find out that I don't drink coffee, they can't believe it. They wonder how I have the energy to be at school by 6:45 a.m., teach four different preps, advise a student publication, and occasionally guest teach for an absent colleague (as seen above in a photo sent to one teacher from his classroom after monitoring and getting to know his students for an hour), then spend a few more hours running test correction sessions, coaching kids on the theatre publicity & program crew, advising juniors as a class sponsor, and usually working in a walk with a colleague friend. No coffee is needed because when doing activites I love and working on collaborative projects, I gain energy from the excitement. Maintaining a full, fast-paced schedule with many creative opportunities throughout the day gives me joy - and I'm seeking a new place to focus the skills I've gained in design, photography, and writing.
